Cities and counties continue to work on approving medical marijuana ordinances in advance of a statewide March first deadline. City Manager Mark Prestwich says indoor grows would be limited to 25 square feet, and no indoor grows would be allowed at all in a home that is within 600 feet of a school. At the county board meeting, many people were outraged at the ban, but Prestwich says things were not nearly as contentious at their meeting Wednesday night…
There will be a second reading at the council’s next meeting January 27. If approved, the ordinance would go into effect 30 days after that. There currently are no regulations regarding medical marijuana in Nevada City.
