Nevada City Wines Win Top Honors

Nevada City wines continue to come out on top in competitions featuring wines from around the world. Recently four wines from Nevada City Winery won top honors at the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition. Head Winemaker, Mark Foster, says the 2010 Zinfandel was the best of the best.*

Akim-Aginsky-12-_J9A1306People have an opportunity to taste each of the award winning wines at the Nevada City Winery Open House the weekend of May 18 and 19. The event also features an opportunity to bottle your own wines.

The popular event also features live music, a grilled lunch, and bottle engraving.

Saturday’s live music is the acoustic folk rock duo, No Hands Bridge featuring guitarist Andy Witek and singer Diane McIntire. The Brian Dougherty Trio will perform on Sunday.
Cost for the Open House is ten dollars. There is a nominal charge to fill your own bottles.
