Nevada City Woman Injured in Pittsburg Mine Road Accident

Being a little sleepy and operating a car with worn tires may have lead to a 22 year old Nevada City woman crashing her car into an embankment around 4:30 this morning. According to CHP Officer Barnthouse the woman was driving a 1995 Ford Thunderbird down Pittsburg Mine Road near Pittsburg Road when the vehicle left the road causing significant damage to the vehicle and injury to the driver.

The officer determined that the woman was not under the influence of alcohol, she was just a little sleepy and driving too fast. The CHP assisted her in getting medical attention and she was released without further incident.
