Nevada City Woman Receives Governor Appointment

A Nevada City woman has been included in a recent round of state appointments from the Governor’s Office. 63-year-old Laura Brewer has been appointed to the Court Reporters Board of California. She’s been what’s described as a Communication Access Realtime Translation Captioner, as a Sole Practitioner, since 1992. The position still requires State Senate confirmation and the compensation is 100 dollars per diem.
