Nevada Co Classified Employees Honored

It’s Classified School Employee Week. And this year nine Nevada County districts, as well as the Superintendent of Schools, have each chosen an employee of the year. Superintendent Holly Hermansen says these are non-teaching positions in the categories of Office and Technical…Para-Educator and Instructional Assistance…Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities…and Child Nutrition. Hermansen says a panel of judges, through the County Office of Education, is also allowed to select one person from each category as a County-Wide Employee of the Year, who is also considered as a State Classifed Employee of the Year. The third selection, from the maintenance category, is Robert DeHart, from Clear Creek School. They will be formally recognized, at the county level, on Tuesday. Also chosen, at the district level, are: Vivian McKnight, Lauri Diel, Claudia Aguirre, Marcia Garcia, Brian Dell, Dorothy Stock, and Debbie Gomez.
