Nevada Co Library Strategic Plan Unveiled

After summarizing survey results, a strategic plan for the Nevada County Library System was unveiled to the Board of Supervisors today (Tues.). The plan is designed to implement spending priorities from the funding boost voters provided last November, with the passage of a one-fourth-cent sales tax increase for the six branches. Head Librarian Laura Pappani says 64% of respondents chose Saturday as their preferred weekend day to visit the library, although the Madelyn Helling and Grass Valley branches are already open on those days. 49% want libraries open at 10am, and Pappani says she’d like to see that for all the main branches.
