Newell says the California District Attorneys Association has not actually taken a formal stance on the November ballot measure that seeks an up or down vote on the law, also known as SB10. He says there are a number of differing opinions among prosecutors. Newell says the pilot program is scheduled to be implemented in March or April, with the goal of releasing results on its effectiveness before the November elections.
