A minor drop for Nevada County’s unemployment rate in April. At 4-point-7 percent, it’s down three-tenths of a point from March, but eight-tenths of a point, compared to a year ago. The job sector with the biggest gain last month was Goods Producing, which added 110 jobs. That sector covers Mining, Logging, and Construction, and Manufacturing. Nevada County continues to have the 15th lowest jobless rate among the 58 counties in California.
