Nevada County Ag Tour Heads to North San Juan this Year

The Nevada County Ag Tour is heading to North San Juan this year, and after several years of people driving their own cars or riding on school buses, this is the first year that they will have tour buses for the tour. Sue Hook is with the Nevada County Farm bureau,and on the Ag Commission and says the first stop on the tour will be at Mountain Bounty Farm..

Nevada County Ag Commissioner Chris Flores says there will also be a tour of SPI Forestry land and an old Mill site presented by former SPI employee Robert Ingram, and a stop at the Historic Browning Ranch.  Flores says Agriculture is a big part of the Nevada County economy.

Hook says the Farm Buearu decided to do the first Ag Tour several years ago so that county employees regulating Agriculture would have a better idea what local Ranchers and Farmers were doing.
