The Nevada County All Veterans Stand Down kicked off Friday morning at the fairgrounds in Grass Valley. Veterans from all around the county and some from outside the county are taking advantage of the multitude of services from personal care to financial assistance to medical attention and just making connections with other veterans. Dennis Fruzza, an American Legion Chaplain and one of the organizers of the Stand Down, shares what he witnessed during the first morning.
