Nevada County All Veterans Stand Down

All veterans of Nevada and Sierra Counties are invited to the Veterans Stand Down event tomorrow and Saturday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Dennis Fruzza is the Nevada County Stand Down chairperson this year.

Lots of services and being provided this year from health care to hair cuts, and it’s all free.

Vic Ferrara from the County Veterans services office says he will also be able to help veterans connect with their benefits.

There will also be an opportunity to get some legal issues taken care of.

They figure there are some 10-thousand veterans in Nevada County and they expect 300 to 500 of them to come to the event on one or both days.
The Nevada County All Veterans Stand Down  is Friday Oct. 9th from 8:30 am to 4 pm and Saturday  Oct. 10th from 8:30 am- 2:30 pm at the Nevada County Fairgrounds Sugar Pine Lodge area .
