This is National Library Week, and to commemorate the occasion, Nevada County libraries have all kinds of activities planned. It’s more about just reading, it’s also about getting people, especially kids, involved in the community. Youth Librarian Lisa Nowlain says there’s one activity in downtown Nevada City, called a ‘Story Walk’…
People of all ages can participate in ‘Library Bingo’. Cards are available at all branches and include such things as ‘watch a film in another language’ or ‘visit a local gallery or museum’ in each of the squares. Grass Valley Branch Manager Crystal Miles says there’s also a photo contest called ‘Book Face’…
There are prizes for each of those activities. Library week runs through Saturday (April 15).
