Nevada County Concert Band Picnic and Pops in the Park

With roots in the Nevada County music scene dating back to the 1920’s, the Nevada County Concert Band continues its traditions as the 80-piece concert band presents its first of three summer concerts, themed “I Get Around.” According to Band Conductor, Cheryl Woldseth, the show features big band, classic, jazz, folk, and popular music in a family-friendly concert.

The concert will also feature the Charleston and Neil Diamond’s pop hit, America. Woldseth says there is something for everyone.*

The Nevada County Concert Band Free Concert is Sunday June 22, from 5-7 at Pioneer Park in Nevada City. Additional Pops in the Park are scheduled for July and August.
