A new report gives Nevada County an excellent economic score…
County Management Analyst Ryan Gruver says the report came up with a distress score of 26.9, which according to the report is very low, ranking Nevada County 18th best in the state. The county also ranks in the top 73 percent in the nation. The ranking is comparable with a larger county like Placer, which has growing cities like Lincoln and Roseville. Despite that, Gruver says he’s not surprised by the findings…
The report says there are no zip codes in Nevada County that are classified as economically distressed, while many counties have several, including some rural counties in northern California having 70 percent of their zip codes classified as in distress. The report can be found on the county’s website in the Executive Officer department.
