Nevada County’s unemployment ranking is perhaps the best it’s been in years, despite the pandemic, with the 9th-lowest rate among the 58 counties. One notable sector in Nevada County that contributed significantly to the half-a-point drop from October was manufacturing, which gained 130 jobs…
But the most significant gain was in Leisure and Hospitality, which added 220 jobs in the last month, although it’s still eleven-hundred-40 fewer jobs than a year ago. And Retail Trade added 80 more jobs. But Stock also points out that this report was actually issued about a-month before the Stay At Home Order went into effect.
