Nevada County Historical Society Flea Market this Saturday

The Nevada County Historical Society Big Spring Flea Market is this Saturday, May 28th, but at a new location. Society member James Ketchum says they used to be at the old Meeks Lumber parking lot on Nevada City Hwy. But this year they will be at the former Bohemia Mill site, 12625 Brunswick Road.

It runs from 8 am to 3 pm and general admission is one dollar per person. But, Ketchum says there is a way you can be among the first ones in.

Many of the vendors come back every year. Ketcham says they are professionals who run the local circuit of street fairs and flea markets and events. Monies raised through the event will help the Nevada County Historical society keep open the Nevada County Railroad Museum, the Firehouse Museum, the Mining Museum and the History Center which is home to the Searls Historical Library. All of the museums and the Searls Historical Library are now open to the public through the summer.
