Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Patti Carter says the clinics are for children 18 and younger, are uninsured, or have Medi-Cal or Medi-Cal managed care or whose insurance does not cover vaccines. Limited amounts of T-DAP and M-M-R are available for all others for a nominal fee, A new law this year requires immunizations for kids who are entering child care or school to be vaccinated against certain diseases, and there are no longer any personal belief exemptions. Again, the clinics are Tuesday and Wednesday of next week from noon to 4pm. August is National Immunization Awareness Month.
