Nevada County Honors Its Probation Officers

Nevada County Supervisors approved a proclamation earlier this week for its probation department. A luncheon is also being held to honor officers. There are over 5-million adults on community supervision and most of them are monitored by pretrial, probation, and parole officers. Monitoring make take the form of home contacts, drug testing, making sure offenders attend counselling sessions, and helping them find suitable housing.
