Although a recent nationwide survey of realtors indicates continued volatility in the home market, related to the coronavirus shutdown, Nevada County is still mostly unaffected. The survey shows that 77-percent of potential sellers are prepared to keep their homes off the market until the end of state-at-home orders. 73-percent also haven’t reduced listing prices to attract buyers. But Teresa Dietrich, with the Nevada County Association of Realtors, says their inventory has always been consistently stagnant, although she has noticed more price reductions here recently…
Meanwhile, Dietrich says coronavirus restrictions have not slowed down the number of showings here, which has kept her extra busy, but especially for health-related reasons…
The survey also shows that 13-percenrt of reported buyers across the country have changed at least one feature that’s important to them, due to COVID-19. Dietrich says the most common ones involve more space, which should have a more positive impact on smaller, rural markets like Nevada County.
