The Nevada County Board of Supervisors is prioritizing a list of projects for the year. Board Chair Dan Miller says the county just held a two-day seminar last week…
Those priorities are ranked either A, B, or, C. For example, Miller says the financial stability of the county remains near the top of the list…
Miller says another ‘Priority A’ is to explore a sales tax to fund the libraries. The county currently has an eighth-of-a-cent sales tax for that purpose, but it is set to expire in 2018. There could be a ballot measure this November to raise the tax to a quarter-of-a-cent.
