Nevada County Resource Conservation District–Active in the Community

The Nevada County Resource Conservation District has a series of workshops coming up that will help property owners with soil management, drought issues, bark beetles and pond problems to name a few. RCD Director Jan Blake says they try to schedule the seminar series around current topics and issues. That includes dealing with Bark Beetles….

Registered Forester Robert Ingram will talk about Tree Triage, and Knowing the signs and symptoms of Unhealthy Trees during the workshop May 5th, but Blake says the Resource Conservation District  can offer more assistance.

Another seminar will include a talk on Forest Raptors of Nevada County .  That’s scheduled for March 30th.

The Nevada County Resource and Conservation District  is also partnering with Nevada Irrigation District in a Mulch Madness giveaway beginning April 1st to June 30th or as long as supplies last.
