Nevada County Services Group Streamlines Name

The home of the 2-1-1 referral service for Nevada County now has a much more streamlined name. The original name, established in 2003, focused only on disabled senior needs for Nevada, as well as Sierra counties. And even though they’ve greatly expanded services, by becoming the 2-1-1 home in 2011, it’s still been called the Nevada-Sierra Regional In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority. And last year, Connecting Point added employment referral services through CalWorks. Other services including food, health, transportation, legal assistance, substance abuse, children and youth, veterans, public safety, and education.
