Nevada County Sheriffs Training in So. County Today

Nevada County Sheriff’s units are doing a training exercise today, but some people driving by the activity at Lime Kiln and Duggans this morning thought it was the real thing. Sheriff Keith Royal explains.

The Deputies have lots of equipment and gear on scene and it looks like they are engaged in a real situation.

They exercise will be going on all day despite the weather that isn’t exactly ideal for the occasion.

They have the hostage negotiations van, communications equipment and the MRAP vehicle on scene for the training to make sure all the equipment and vehicles are operating as they should be.
