You need 20. He had more than that, but some were thrown out for various reasons. Diaz says some were not registered voters, or didn’t live in the district, but also some people signed papers for more than one candidate…

Strawser and Heidi Hall are the other two candidates. They are vying to succeed Nate Beason, who is not running again.
