She’s watched them on TV for decades and now Nevada County resident Carla Emberston will attend a Republican National Convention when the GOP gathers in Tampa Bay, Florida at the end of this month.
The Truckee resident says among the memorable conventions she recalls are Ronald Reagan’s nomination in 1980 and the convention that followed in 1984. Truckee resident Emberston will let people here know what took place in Florida.
The Democratic convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, follows, starting Sept. 3.
