Nevada County’s Jobless Rate Stays Stagnant

The sector with the biggest percentage drop from the month before was Farming, followed by Leisure and Hospitality, which includes tourism-related jobs. Nevaada county has the 13th lowest unemployment rate among the state’s 58 counties, it was 12th in September. Meanwhile, California’s unemployment rate held steady for the fourth straight month, at 5.5%, although employers added 31,200 jobs. Analysts say although job growth has remained fairly strong, employers aren’t creating jobs quickly enough to keep up with a recent surge of Californians into the labor market, or 90,000.
