The Nevada Union Miners (3-2) ended the non-league portion of their schedule with a shutout, blanking the Fairfield Falcons 21-0 at Fairfield High School. Hayden Lee found the end zone on two occasions, including a 35-yard reception in the first quarter. Jaxon Horne scored from 27 yards out in the second period, and it was Lee again for 22 yards in the fourth quarter. It’s the first time in the post-Dave Humphers era that the Miners have won three games in a row. They open up Foothill Valley League play next week at Placer.
