It’s an athletic endeavor that is raising funds for Nevada Union High School, and also in memory of a popular teacher. The First Annual Craig Zetterberg Triathlon took place at N-U yesterday (Sunday). School Athletic Director Jeff Dellis says there was a two-and-a-quarter mile run, a six mile bike ride, and a 400-meter swim…
Some of the participants did the whole thing themselves, and others entered as a relay team, all to raise funds for Nevada Union Athletics. Zetterberg was a teacher and water polo coach, and had recently joined the mountain biking team before he died of a heart attack last year. Dellis says Zetterberg would have liked the event…
Medals were awarded to the top finishers in each of several categories. Dellis says they still haven’t totaled up the money raised yet, but they definitely plan on doing it again next year.
