Nevada Union’s Spring Swing Band Fundraiser

By Ashlyn Rhodes

Nevada Union’s Band Boosters are hosting a Spring Swing dance and dinner fundraiser.  The evening starts at 6 on Saturday and goes to 10.  Band Booster Patti Carter says it’s the Boosters’ job to make sure the band has everything they need.

There will be big band classics played by NU’s Jazz Band and a professional dance instructor will teach everyone a few swing moves.  Tapas will be provided by Farm 2 Table and there will be a live and silent auction.  The event will take place at Saint Canice Hall at 236 Reward Street, off Zion in Nevada City.  You can get tickets at the Bookseller and Briar Patch Co-op.  For more information on the event or helping out the band, call NU’s Instrumental Music Office.

If anyone with the Band is looking for additional fundraising ideas, I suggest checking out BoosterShot (http://goboostershot.com/). They have a unique set of fundraising products that our community loves to support. Our band has used them for the last few years, and we typically raise over $10,000. They are very hands-on and always work hard to ensure we meet our fundraising goals.
