Besler replaces Jim Nieto, who was reassigned, earlier this month as a Social Studies teacher at Bear River. Besler starts her new job Wednesday (July first). In the announcement, Superintendent of Schools Louise Johnson said Bear River and Colfax are similar high schools. She says through Besler’s work at Colfax, Besler understands the challenges that face the district and the entire foothill region, with persistent and declining enrollment and the associated budget reductions.
