New Chair Elected for Nevada County Consolidated Fire District Board

Keith Grueneberg is now officially out as Nevada County Consolidated Fire District Board Chair. The board voted to accept Grueneberg’s resignation at their meeting Thursday night. He does remain on as a board member.

Warren Knox is the new Chair and in his first item of business addressed a discussion and possible action regarding sensitivity training for all employees. The item stems from an inappropriate email circulated by board members and a labor union representative referring to an ethnic joke.

Knox is apologetic for not acting more quickly as a board member in response to the situation.
