New County Librarian Set for Summer Reading Programs

The County recently hire a new full time Librarian and this time they decided to hire from within rather than look to other agencies to fill the position. When the position became vacant in March, the County appointed veteran librarian Laura Pappani as Interim Head Librarian. Now it is officially Laura’s position and she brings a wealth of experience to the job coming to the County in 2006.

One of the programs that Pappani is kicking off is the annual Summer Reading Programs. The programs include a kids program, a teens program, and one for adults. Something new this year is the increased kids program at the South County Branch at Bear River High School. Grass Valley and Madellyn Helling Libraries also have children’s programs.
