New Nevada City Manager To Be Announced Soon

The search for Nevada City’s next permanent city manager is over, after a months-long process. And Mayor Duane Strawser, speaking on “On the Town”, says an announcement could be made as soon as the Wednesday night City Council meeting. Joan Phillipe was appointed as the interim replacement for Catrina Wilson in February. Wilson resigned and now works for Grass Valley in another position. Strawser says, with Phillipe’s contract hours running out, they want to announce the new city manager before Thanksgiving.
