New Public Health Officer To Replace Kellermann

With Doctor Scott Kellermann’s contract expiring at the end of the year, Nevada County Supervisors have approved an 18-month contract for a new Public Health Officer. Blake says Cooke has visited Nevada County for recreation and loves the area. Kellermann agreed to serve, on an interim basis for all of 2021. County officials say this is an extraordinarily difficult time to recruit public health officers, partly because of the demands made by the pandemic.
