Nevada County’s other major high school will also have some major upgrades, when classes resume on the 15th. Bear River High School Principal Amy Besler says that includes a new security system, featuring over 80 cameras. She says it will literally cover every inch of the campus, including the parking lot, with remote access and much higher quality pictures…
Besler says the system should also reduce the chance of dangerous or unauthorized intruders from going undetected. Besler says another notable new feature will be a new fire alarm system that will connect to the new class bell system…
And looking ahead, Besler says an upgrade to Bear River’s track will be done during the summer of next year.
