New Senior Center Opens In Auburn

Hendricks says the new location, at 550 High Street, is also only about half the size of the DeWitt Center location….

But Hendricks says there isn’t enough room for the popular billiards class. Seniors are welcome to make suggestions for classes. Hendricks also points out that the DeWitt Center spot was over 70 years old. Rent will also have to be paid to the city at the High Street location, unlike at the DeWitt Center. But Hendricks says an escrow account has been set up through the county for the first five years and they should be self-sufficient by then. The Open House is from 10am to 3pm on Saturday.
