In order to register for selling:
First – Go to KNCO.com (click on that link open a new window at our homepage)
Next – look for the Swap Shop box just to the right of the top story box and click anywhere in that box.
Then – click “Place Ad”
Now – Look under the “Username/Password” boxes you will see the word “Register” . Click there and fill in the boxes and “Submit”
In a flash, you will receive an email from Swap Shop (the email will appear to be from Word Press in your inbox) with the username you picked while registering, and a link to the password section of your new user account. If you do not see your email from us, look in your “Spam Inbox” or your “Junk mail Inbox”. You create yoru own new password. Once you have posted an add you can change your password, more on that below.
Once you are in, you can create your ad. You can also change your password to something you can remember. You can also edit any ad or add pictures to any listing you previously created on the website.
The first thing you will notice is a box asking you to choose your payment level. More Good News, there is no fee! We are covering the cost! However, in the future in addition to the free level, there will be a Premium level. That level will come with some significant advantages, which don’t come free. (When do advantages ever come free?) For now however, All Swap Shop listing are free!
Select a category for what you are selling, then click continue.
Something New! You get to write a headline for your ad! Fill in all the blanks including the description of your item. In order to keep spammers out, you will have to solve a simple math problem, then click “Continue”.
This is where you add pictures. You allowed 3 pictures per item to be sold. Here’s how:
Take the photo of the item and save that photo to your computer. (I always save pictures to my desktop so they are easy to find. You can also save them to your pictures file, but then you will have to dig them out and delete them when you are done posting them)
Use the “Browse” button to find that picture. Click “Open” to select the picture you want posted.
When you are done click the “Upload Image” box.
Done.
If you don’t want to add a picture just click “Preview ad with out pictures”
You are now looking at a preview of what your ad will look like on the website. If you are happy with it click “Finish”. If you want to edit your ad, click “Edit Details”. If you want to change pictures, click “Manage Images”.
Now to change your password,
Go to KNCO.COM
Click the Swap Shop Box
Click “Place Ad”
Log In with your Username and Password (if you are a new user this is the one our computer sent you. If you are just changing your password for security reasons, you already know how to change your password…)
Look at the top of the browser for a black bar. In the upper left hand corner you will see the word KNCO and an icon that looks like a speedometer.
Click where is says “KNCO” to open your dashboard
Click “Profile”
Scroll down and find the empty box labeled “New Password”
Enter your new password there, then repeat in the box just below labeled “Repeat New Password”
Scroll down looking for the box labeled “Update Profile” click that box and your new password is locked in.
Make a note of your username and password. The system is picky and won’t let you in with something that is almost right.
You have now posted a Swap Shop Ad. Your ad will have to be approved before it appears on line.
Good Luck!
Now to DELETE or EDIT a listing:
Go to KNCO.COM
Click the Swap Shop Box
Click “Place An Ad”
Log In with your Username and Password
Go back to the KNCO home page and re-enter Swap Shop to find the “Search” box
Look for the “Search” box and search for your ad
When you find your ad, click on the “Edit Ad” button.
Look for the word “Delete” and click it.
Delete” is the first option. If you want to edit your ad you will see all the details of your ad below the “DELETE” option. Make whatever changes you want to make and “SAVE” and “PUBLISH”
