Del-Valle says up to 6 inches is expected between tonight (now) and early Saturday at around 6,000 feet, with the Northern Sierra getting a total of around 1 to 3 feet of snow. There will still be strong winds, but not as destructive as last month, and there will be no flooding concerns. And she says unstable weather is expected to continue in the foothills into the early or middle part of next week.
