Hard to believe it’s Monday already. As a matter of fact, I was sitting chatting with my wife this morning and glanced at the clock, realized I had to leave in 30 minutes! I hadn’t even made my morning tea, or poured my O.J.
The weekend flew past. Spent a whole day in the shop with my newly rebuilt lathe. I made up 8 pens, but still have some major work to do before my big show & sale in November. Had a great day with the kids over yesterday. The best part of the kids coming over is when they leave and the house falls quiet again. Don’t get me wrong, I Love ‘Em. I really look forward to their visits, but man oh man have I become accustomed to the peace and quiet of just the two of us.
The only problem with the peace and quiet is how alone it can be. Friday while getting ready for work I caught my toe on a dog gate that keeps the dogs out of our bedroom while we are at work. I went down like a bag of laundry. I didn’t get hurt, beyond a slightly sprained wrist, oh and my ego. As I lay there collecting myself, taking inventory of all my bones and joints, my first thought was good thing my wife gets home early on Friday in case I can’t move. Then I realized all the times I’ve poked fun at the commercials where the person has fallen and couldn’t get up. Karma can be cruel! I am okay, just a sore wrist. My ego is also still bruised, all this time I thought I was Superman . . . . . . . . .
