NID Approves Another Water Extension Project

More residents are hooking up to the Nevada Irrigation Water District system. A petition signed by six landowners requests service. The latest extension is north of Nevada City, from Lake Vera Purdon Road east on Alderwood Way. NID General Manager Rem Scherzinger says they have a number of such projects lined up. He says the district has put in about $1.2 million in the program so far, with the cost repaid by the homeowners…

This project provides about 1,820 linear feet of water pipe. Scherzinger says it’s a first-come-first-serve program, with no more than 40 homes benefitting at a time.
