With toilets usually the biggest water user in a household, the Nevada Irrigation District has launched a rebate program for residential customers. NID Water Efficiency Technician, Kaycee Strong, says they’re offering up to 100 dollars when eligible customers replace their older models with WaterSense-labeled versions…
Strong says toilets can account for nearly 30-percent of an average home’s indoor consumption…
According to WaterSense, a more efficient toilet can save water by 20 to 60-percent, or nearly 13-thousand gallons every year. Strong says around 200 rebates are available, on a first-come, first-served basis. To check your eligibility, call the NID office during normal business hours, or check their website.
