NID Names New Recreation Manager

A 20-year employee will soon be the interim Recreation Manager for the Nevada Irrigation District. Monica Reyes is succeeding longtime manager Peggy Davidson, who is retiring. Reyes will oversee recreational activities at Scotts Flat Reservoir, along with the Orchard Springs, Long Ravine, and Peninsula campgrounds at Rollins Reservoir. With an annual budget of 2.6 million dollars, the NID Recreation Department has a year-round, full-time, staff of seven. But during the busy summer months, up to 60 seasonal workers are hired. Davidson officially retires on March 30th.
