The latest snowpack survey, taken a week ago, for the Nevada Irrigation District, continues to show spectacular amounts. Operations Manager Chip Close says he’s never seen it so large in all his years with the district….
So, Close says, NID should have sufficient water supplies throughout the year…
As of February 28th, NID reservoirs were at 92% of capacity, which is 142% of average for the date. Close also hopes that the Governor will lift the drought emergency soon. That may happen at around the end of the rainy season in May.
