Night Of Giving Donations Still Strong

The biggest fundraising event of the year for Hospitality House was impacted by having to go to pre-recorded streaming and cable TV platforms this year, instead of the traditional party at Miner’s Foundry, due to the pandemic. And, with so many people hit hard economically this year, over 60-thousand dollars was raised, compared to 77-thousand last year. In response to pandemic, back in March, the single overnight shelter expanded into a 24-hour operation across multiple locations, with no lapses in service. Officials say food needs alone have tripled and nearly 600 people in crisis have been helped this year.
