As we approach another graduating class, the latest Accountabilty Report Card for the Nevada Joint Union High School District shows notable academic achievement. Results from first official administration of the new state tests show 59-percent of students are meeting or exceeding English-Language Arts standards, compared to 44-percent statewide. Meanwhile, 70-percent of 10th graders passed the English-Language Arts portion of the last High School Exit exam that will ever be administered separately, which is 12 points better than the statewide rate. 73-percent passed the Math portion, compared to 58-percent statewide. That exam will soon be incorporated with the annual state standards tests. Accountability Report Cards are posted on school district’s websites each year.
