NJUHSD Trustees to fill Vacancy on Board

There’s an empty seat on the Nevada Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees and the board is already moving to replace it.

Superintendent Louise Johnson says the vacancy was created by the recent resignation of Georgie Coulter. The open seat is in Trustee area two which represents mainly the downtown Grass Valley area.

The process for filling the vacancy is that of a provisional appointment.

Legal requirements for assuming the seat are also posted on the website…Johnson says applicants will be interviewed at the next Board meeting February 10th.

The vacancy is for the remainder of a four year term which will end in December 2018.
