No campfires on BLM land in Nevada County

No open fires, campfires or open fire stoves starting today (July 17)  on Bureau of Land Management public lands in Nevada, Placer, Yuba and other counties in the Mother Lode Field Office B.L.M. boundary.

Violators face fines of up to $1,000. Lanterns and Portable stoves using gas are permitted.
More than 17,000 acres of B.L.M land are in Nevada County.
