No Motor Day Returns This Year To Scotts Flat

Sailboats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards will be allowed in without charge for the day. But Reyes says, due to supplies not coming in, the Mountain Recreation company will not be offering its free paddleboarding and kayaking. However, Gold Country Yacht Club will still offer free sailboat rides. And Reyes also reminds recreationists that the pandemic still means some changes from the traditional event…

Vehicle admission is 14-dollars, which includes up to four people. Last month, an effort to restore an early-morning quiet time for some users of the lake was rejected by the Nevada Irrigation District Board of Directors. It was imposed briefly, a year ago, as part of social distancing guidelines.
