No Sign of Shooter of Search and Rescue Volunteer

Efforts to find the shooter of a search and rescue volunteer have been unsuccessful so far. 69-year-old Steven Wolf, a 10-year volunteer from Placer County, was shot in the hip Tuesday evening. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says Wolf was last reported to be in stable condition. And a couple of people from the Nevada County department also had difficulties while rescuing Wolf…

Royal says both people are doing okay. Wolf was helping look for a missing 75-year-old hiker, who was last seen last Thursday getting ready to hike down a Yuba River trail, a few miles from the the town of Washington. But Royal says with a shooter still at large, the search was called off Wednesday, with a separate team of officers still out there investigating the shooting incident…
