‘Non-Traditional’ Christmas Show This Weekend

You’ll recognize all of the songs, but it’s not your usual Christmas Concert. The First Baptist Church in Grass Valley is hosting a show this weekend called ‘A Very Merry Christmas’, put together by Mark Dunn and his family. Dunn says he started the production in the Bay Area 30 years ago, and brought it with him to Nevada County…

This is the fourth year in Grass Valley. Dunn describes the event as kind of a broadway show. They come up with a different storyline every year, using popular Christmas songs…

Another segment has a 1950s theme, but the show culminates with a nativity scene. The show is fast-moving, lasts about 90 minutes, and is for all ages. Performances are tomorrow and Sunday at 2pm and 7pm at the First Baptist Church (1866 Ridge Road). Admission is free.
